OHA Supported Programs
Under legislative mandate, OHA provides matching funds for certain programs dealing with Native Hawaiian education, human services and legal representation. The contractors currently receiving these funds are: Alu Like, Inc. (human services), Na Pua Noeau (education) and the Native Hawaiian Legal Corp. (legal representation).
OHA may also lend its support to other programs, as necessary.
Na Pua Noeau
The Center for Gifted and Talented Native Hawaiian Children was established at the University of Hawai'i at Hilo for the purpose of increasing educational enrichment opportunities for Hawaiian Children (K - 12) throughout the State of Hawai'i.
Native Hawaiian Legal Corporation
The Native Hawaiian Legal Corporation is a non-profit organization that represents Native Hawaiians in legal disputes.
